Ties

Holding Value

Together we died, as death did surround.
Haunting thoughts in the door ways, world tickling with the sound.

We let go. Let the sickle cut the ties away.
Gutting out hope, leaving us to decay.

Together we died. Separate we fell.
Longing for the ending and toiling on still.

In came a whisper.
Long past it's end,
crying for us to seek the ties,
to forget this end.
Forget this end.

We grabbed on. Tied ourselves to each other.
We grabbed on, tying ends that once were severed.

Together we died, as death knocked us down.
We tied the twine. Together gained ground.

We grabbed on. Tied ourselves to each other.
We grabbed on, tying ends that once were severed.
We grabbed on.
