Holding Value
Holding Value
The way it sweeps in,
And becomes who you think you are.
Still you hear the other's words and know theirs should be yours.
But you've been trained so good, to identify as,
the echoes of trauma; your sickness and lack.
You measure your worth by,
the desire you inspire.
You say that you don't,
until your power's retired.
You've been trained so good to identify as,
the echoes of trauma; your sickness and lack.
I feel so hollow.
So shallow.
I'm a shadow of the past.
Once of thing of power now I carry lack.
You've been trained so good, to identify as,
the echoes of trauma; your sickness and lack.
Now here is where it should turn,
to how I make it right,
but how does one hold value in a body,
without the bodies value holding might.
How does one hold value in a body,
without the bodies value holding might?
Cuz you've been trained so good, to identify as,
the echoes of trauma; your sickness and lack.
Your sickness and, your sickness and lack.
